Ferrara Inspires Moments of Halloween Joy as People Gather Across Chicagoland Communities

CHICAGO – October 31, 2024 – From Chicago’s south suburbs to the Loop, western Cook County to the city’s north side, east onto Navy Pier and many Chicago neighborhoods in between, Ferrara—Chicago’s hometown candy company—inspired moments of joy this Halloween by sharing sweet treats and sponsoring important community programming.
Ferrara’s partners include the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos, Navy Pier and social service agency UCAN, which serves at-risk kids and families.

At the Zoo fall festival, providing sweet treats for attendees,” said Jodie Taggett, director of corporate partnerships at Brookfield Zoo. “When our visitors think about the candy they love on Halloween, they think of Ferrara brands like NERDS, Laffy Taffy and SweeTARTS, so it is special for us to offer these Illinois-made candies at our festival. This year, Ferrara’s engagement with Brookfield Zoo enabled our educators to connect with community members through more than 35 Zoo Chats, in which community members learn facts about our animals.”
